Trial Flights

If you are considering learning to fly, or simply want to physically have a go at flying a helicopter for real, then we recommend you take an introductory trial flight.

During this "low key" flight with our experienced instructor, you will be shown (by way of dual controls) the effect of the primary controls, and after a short while, you will be piloting the helicopter under their watchful eye.

Trial flights vary between 15 minutes and an hour, but we recommend 30 minutes, as this is long enough to truly get a feel for the helicopter and to have a go at both straight and level flight, with a brief introduction to the art of hovering.

The trial flight will begin with a briefing — covering basic helicopter Principals of Flight and the particular skills you will perform in the air, then a helicopter pre-flight will be explained, before strapping in for the actual flying part.

You will find out if you like the idea of flying and whether it’s for you. Very quickly you will see how enjoyable and challenging flying a helicopter can be, but equally, how rewarding it can be to master a very special skill.

30 minute trial flight - $350.00

The trial flight time is for actual time in the air, so please allow an extra 30 minutes for the briefing and pre-flight.
